About Me
- Name: Lori
- Location: Virginia, United States
New web site - www.writerlorismith.com. In July of 2005, I set off for a month in England to follow the life of Jane Austen, looking for a connection with the writer whose books (and the movies based on them) had become like literary comfort food for me. This new 'blook' will tell my story -- and the story of Jane's life. It will be part biography, part memoir, and part travel journal. I hope you'll join me for the adventure. As a freelance writer, I cover religion publishing for Publishers Weekly and review books for Washington Post Book World. Visit me at www.austenquotes.com. Email me at austenquotes AT gmail DOT com.

Beautiful! You don't really know me. I met you at a party held at Leah's -oh, I don't know her married last name- townhouse in Sterling over the summer (?). As I am a fan of Austen, you gave my husband your blog address. I am having a cozy lazy morning, and decided to read through many of your blogs, as I saw it in our bookmarks. I found some ideal quotes I can use on a paper, "Anthropological Perspectives on Beauty," that I have to write this weekend (one you said about how Americans and another about British view beauty). I hope you don't mind. Anyways, many blessings in your life as it seems you are going through quite the journey, and aren't we all.
Enjoy the frigged weather today (which rather confuses me, as it seems that if it is sunny, it should also be warm: that's the Californian in me)!
I strongly think you should go with one for the book--it brings out your adventuresome and fun sides.
Thanks guys!
Elisa -- great to hear from you. Hope the paper went well.
cute--I like the headshot one too!
I prefer the long shot. That's the smile I know! Always glad to hear progress on your book. And how are you feeling these days? Liz
